Hairy Racing - Livingston 10k

Writer: The Hairy Runner The Hairy Runner

Today was my first 10k of the season out at Livingston. Weather conditions were almost perfect with the race starting in sunshine but a strong breeze.

The race itself was a difficult and lumpy course which doesn't particularly suit my style of running but none the less I managed to produce a good tempo throughout.

The course itself is very lumpy and had a lot of twists and turns so trying to find a steady consistent pace was more difficult than on a normal course. The first and last two kilometres went from the Livingston football stadium to the main bridge. After that it starts to climb through the housing estates.

I would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a more challenging 10k course and likes to have a rolling course.

The whole event was very well run and it looks like everything went to plan. The race course was very well laid out and clearly marshalled all the way round.

Below is my times and Strava link to have a look at my race in detail.

As always happy running
